New Additions

Isabelle has been asking for a puppy for years. We have held her off with stuffed animals, webkinz, and beanie babies. She will be turning 8 on the 18th of this month so we decided it was time for her to have her dog. After much research we decided on an Old English Sheepdog. They are excellent family dogs, they love people and ,when grown, an OES will match our cat and the house (important criteria, I know). So this morning Isabelle and I met Molly Gaffney in Chippewa Falls to pick out a pup. Molly had sent us pictures of three male pups that she considered the best of the litter. We picked our favorite two and those are the two Molly planned on bringing to us. Isabelle didn't know it, but Tom and I had already decided to get BOTH pups. Hey, you always knew we were crazy!!! We found Molly in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Isabelle jumped out of the car and quickly decided that she wanted the 'little guy' with the all white head.
"Oh, but what about this other one. He's cute too and he'll be so lonely without his brother." I really laid it on thick.
"I know, Mom, but I like this one. He's so tiny."
"Okay, I said, but the 'big guy' is going to miss him. Do you think we should get both puppies", I asked.
"Yeah, yeah yeah", was the reply.
"What do you think Daddy will say?"
"I think he'll like it. You know he really likes dogs."
"Okay, we'll get both."
I had had the video running this whole time to capture all of the excitement. But there wasn't any. Isabelee simply said "Okay" and climbed into the backseat with the puppies. I went back to Molly's car to sign papers and such. When I got back to the truck and started to leave with two puppies, Isabelle freaked out! "Seriously! We get to have BOTH!", she screamed. Of course, at this time the video recorder was turned off and in my pocket--Hmpf.
