On Top of the World

Okay, so they weren't literally on to of the world, but they were on the highest peak in Wisconsin (not saying much, I know). Michael and Thomas finally made it to Granite Peak. They were so excited that Michael woke up at 2am and said he was ready to go! Sorry, Son. Go back to bed. Tom was given the day off so we were both able to go with them to get them suited up and on the slopes. It was a chilly day. The forecasted high was 10 but the wind made it feel like 25 below! Brrrr. Tom and I did what any good parent would. We dressed them in all of the proper layers. Put snacks in their pockets. Introduced them to their instuctor and headed for home! Hey! It was COLD outside! The boys said they had a great time and can't wait to get back on the mountain tomorrow. That's right. They get to do it all over again. Let's pray for some warmer weather.

Looks like a good time - sometimes you have to brave the cold to be on top of the world!
