My sister and her family are here visiting and helped us to ring in the new year! We bought party hats and horns and lots of balloons. The kids had a great time hanging decorations and making a festive atmosphere. While they did that I made some homemade pizza and a cake. I asked Thomas to make some numbers for the cake and he creatively made them out of legos! But Auntie Tammy had a little time warp and accidentally put 2001 on the cake--oops! We eventually got it right.
The hat was a bit uncomfortable for Isabelle so she made some adjustments. A kleenex underneath the strap seemed to help quite a bit! (No she didn't get glasses; she just likes to wear mine).
Uncle Andy helped to make some noise makers out of empty water bottles, dried beans, and stickers.
We all enjoyed soda and cake.
As we counted down the seconds everyone got up on a piece of furniture. Then as the hour rang in we "leapt" into the new year. Happy 2010 Everyone!!!
